Sorry – Echoes
Sorry’s ‘Echoes’ finds beauty in repetition, turning a simple word into something hypnotic and haunting. The lead single from their upcoming album ‘Cosplay’ takes inspiration from a poem about a boy shouting into a tunnel, but transforms it into something far more complex—a meditation on love, identity, and the spaces between people.
Asha Lorenz and Louis O’Bryen’s voices intertwine around the mantra-like repetition of “echo, echo, echo,” creating a third presence in the room. The production, crafted with collaborator Dan Carey, feels intimate and vast, like hearing your voice bounced back from somewhere you can’t quite place.
‘Cosplay’ is described as an album where “anyone can be anyone, past or present, real or imaginary.” Following 2022’s ‘Anywhere but Here’, the British five-piece has been thinking bigger.
